Scripture: Psalm 139:13-15 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Try this exercise. Take a blank sheet of paper and write your signature. Once you've done that, swap your pen into your other hand and write your signature again.
If you actually did the exercise, what was the first thing you had to do before you even wrote your signature the second time?
People usually say that the first thing they had to do was think. That's what happens when you do something that doesn't come naturally. You have to put extra thought and effort into what you're doing.
This is true in all aspects of life. Because although you have things you are not very good at, God equipped you with certain strengths.
Everyone has strengths. Everyone is a 10 at something. The difference between living in your strengths and living in your weaknesses is like using your dominant hand to write rather than your weak hand.
In fact, 80-85% of people are in jobs they are ill-suited to. That's like being a right-handed person and living a left-handed life.
No wonder there are so many people who are unhappy in their jobs!
Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
That tells us that God's design in us is for a purpose. The strengths we have are no accident of birth, but part of God's plan for our lives so that we can be fruitful.
Our job is to discover that design and fall in line with the Lord's plan for us.
